Our facilities offer best-in-class classrooms, flexible learning spaces, extensive athletic and performing arts facilities, and state-of-the-art STEAM and MakerSpaces.

Focused on student-centered learning, our campus facilities are more than buildings, they are teaching tools. In both formal and informal ways, they promote interdisciplinary learning and collaboration, and serve as living laboratories in environmental stewardship.

Old Church Road Campus

Greenwich Country Day School's 92-acre campus on Old Church Road is available to our Elementary and Middle School Students. 

Lower Elementary School
The Lower School for Lower Elementary (Nursery - Grade 2) includes 23 classrooms, Creativity Lab, Yeskey Library, Molinari Auditorium, music room, art room, science house, and playground, as well as numerous spaces for small group work.
Upper Elementary School 
The Upper Elementary School includes numerous flexible learning spaces such as whiteboard walls, classrooms, library, meeting areas and more. The building also includes 4 science labs, a Maker Lab and the historic Warner House which serves as the home of the Business, Communications, and Advancement/Alumni Relations Offices.
Middle School
The Middle School, for grades 6 - 8, includes 13 classrooms, 3 science labs, science greenhouse, world language lab, math lab, study center, computer graphics classroom, makerspace, photography room, art room, music room, sewing room, and library, as well as a conference room, administrative offices, and numerous breakout spaces for small group work.
Performing Arts Center
The Performing Arts Center opened in 2010, and includes the Debbie Blake Kerrick 420-seat theater, the Debra Lewis Stage, a band room, 4 piano rooms, and a music technology lab.
Giant Elm
Country Day's 160-ft. giant elm is the oldest elm tree in Connecticut. In 2022, the majestic American Elm was selected by the Greenwich Tree Conservancy as a “Treasured Tree,” which registers special trees on private properties to create respect for the many beautiful and unique trees to be found throughout the community. A plaque placed on the tree commemorates the occasion.

Our newly constructed 42-acre Upper School Campus on Stanwich Road.

Upper School
The GCDS Upper School opened in 2019 with a new three-story building, which includes makerspace, art rooms, and an open and inviting library and commons area.

Extensive renovations were made to existing academic spaces, and a new turf athletic field was built.

In 2020, they added 22 classrooms, science labs, technology center, music classrooms, dance studio, fitness center and training room, and expanded the kitchen and dining service area.

French Farm

GCDS's French Farm is a small-scale historic farm, which also includes botanical and art collections.

French Farm is a historic 110-year-old farm in Greenwich, CT, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
French Farm
GCDS acquired it in 2019, and it features sheep, chickens, peacocks, herb and vegetable gardens, an apiary, barns, workshops, and a greenhouse, along with its art and botanical collections.

A Sustainable Campus

The GCDS campus also reflects the school's commitment to sustainability and to educating students about environmental stewardship. GCDS's 352 kW solar system includes 1,068 solar panels, and the three newest buildings—the Middle School, the Performing Arts Center, and the Upper Elementary School—are Gold LEED Certified.
