Headlines: Athletics & Service

I am so proud of our Athletic Department and all of our student-athletes.

When our Athletic Director Tim Helstein and I first sat down to discuss goals for our newly developed athletic program, we both knew one thing would be non-negotiable—athletics are the perfect place to develop character!

This short video highlights a part of our athletics program that few schools emphasize at the same level—a tangible connection to service and the tremendous importance of it. I love the fact that all of our athletes and coaches know that taking time away from practice to help others, creating opportunities to raise awareness and/or funds for those in need and simultaneously celebrating our Tiger Pride, and even creating unique programs to support local organizations makes the world a better place and everyone involved better people for being part of the experience.
