Many donors choose to make gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or exchange traded funds because they can have a large impact on our mission, while providing potential tax benefits including avoidance of capital gains taxes.

GCDS is pleased to receive gifts through donor advised funds for annual giving, capital, or endowment purposes.
A donor advised fund (DAF) is a charitable program that allows you to combine favorable tax benefits while supporting GCDS.
Making a QCD from an IRA
Use the Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) forms provided by your IRA custodian to direct a distribution as an outright gift to Greenwich Country Day School.

2. Request that your IRA custodian (a) memorialize your name and address as the donor of record in connection with this transfer and (b) copy you on the transmittal.
3. To ensure that the GCDS identifies and directs your distribution as you wish, email a copy of the QCD form to Clancy Healy/Database Administrator at [email protected]. Please indicate how you would like your gift to be used.
You may pledge your gift now for payment before the end of GCDS’ fiscal year, June 30. For your convenience, the Advancement Office will email you a pledge reminder in the Spring. For questions about making or fulfilling a pledge, please email advancement@ gcds.net.
